Priorities for the Next Term

• Three Corners Redevelopment

  The Three Corners redevelopment remains one of the most significant opportunities in Vero Beach's history. As the project moves from contract negotiations toward implementation, my focus is on ensuring the development reflects our community's vision, protects the waterfront, complements our existing downtown and beachside districts, and delivers long-term value for residents.

  Vero Beach Regional Airport

  The growth of commercial air service has created new opportunities for our community while increasing demands on airport facilities. My priority is to support improvements to the airport terminal, passenger amenities, and parking facilities to provide a more comfortable, convenient, and welcoming experience for travelers. These investments are intended to improve the customer experience and accommodate existing commercial service—not to promote unnecessary increases in air traffic.

  Water, Sewer, and Infrastructure

  The relocation and construction of the new Wastewater Reclamation Facility is the largest infrastructure project in the City's history. I will continue supporting staff in delivering this project responsibly, emphasizing sound project management, fiscal discipline, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship while maintaining focus on budget and schedule.

  Revitalizing Historic Downtown

  Historic Downtown remains an important part of Vero Beach's identity. I support continued investment in the walkable downtown core along 14th Avenue while encouraging local businesses, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Downtown should complement—not compete with—Three Corners and Ocean Drive, creating distinct destinations that strengthen the entire community.

  Protecting the Indian River Lagoon

  The health of the Indian River Lagoon is critical to our economy, environment, and quality of life. I will continue supporting initiatives that protect and restore this vital resource, including septic-to-sewer conversions, stormwater improvements, nutrient reduction efforts, responsible reclaimed water management, waterway patrols, appropriate anchoring limitation areas, and expanded sewage pump-out services. These efforts are essential to improving water quality, protecting the lagoon’s ecosystem, and preserving this treasured resource for future generations.

  Financial Stewardship

  Strong financial management remains one of my highest priorities. I will continue supporting responsible budgeting, investing in essential infrastructure, maintaining City assets, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. Long-term financial planning allows us to address today's needs while preparing responsibly for tomorrow's challenges.

  Regional Collaboration

  Many of the issues facing Vero Beach—including transportation, economic development, tourism, housing, and infrastructure—extend beyond our city limits. I will continue advocating for stronger collaboration among Vero Beach, neighboring municipalities, and Indian River County to develop practical regional solutions that benefit all residents.

  Preserving Vero Beach's Character

  Growth should never come at the expense of what makes Vero Beach special. I will continue supporting thoughtful planning, responsible redevelopment, and policies that preserve our neighborhoods, waterfront, natural resources, and the small-town character that residents value.
